Infants

Leaving your infant in the care of others is a huge step and we at RFTS understand what it takes to make this decision. Our teachers will work with you to make sure the transition goes smoothly. In our infant classroom, we know that learning starts at birth, so yes, we have a curriculum for babies! Brain development is in prime time as babies are starting to make connections between themselves and the people and things around them. Our Infant program is designed just for these moments. Nurturing, responsive relationships between infants and caregivers support the development of their sense of security, which empowers them to explore and learn at their own pace and have the freedom to try new things, explore new challenges, and build confidence based on their experiences.

Toddler 1

A whole new world opens to children when they take to their feet. They walk, talk, and begin to develop relationships with one another. Our Toddlers program is filled with sensory experiences that emphasize the importance of a toddler’s environment and relationships. Using observation, our teachers understand their needs and provide a high level of interaction while individually nurturing your child.

Toddler 2

This age is filled with so much wonder and curiosity. That’s why we offer a ton of books and toys. Children in our toddler classrooms begin to learn how we all work together in a classroom. Simple math and science, pretend play, and group play help them get used to a more structured school setting.

Everything in our toddler 2 classroom is designed for little explorers. That’s because a lot is going on at this age. When your child is wandering all over the place, that means they’re learning and discovering new things every day. We’ll help them explore their interests (and find new ones!) as they play and learn.

Preschool 1 & 2

This age is all about expression, when kids really start to form their own ideas about what they want to play and how they want to create. Every day in our preschool classroom, your child will explore science experiments, create artwork, and play pretend—all the skills needed for their big next step: kindergarten!

A preschooler’s world of learning really opens up as they become more agile, learn complex skills, and begin to mix and mingle more with peers. This room introduces language, math, science, and social skills in a fun and accessible way that encourages learning one step at a time. Your child will create science experiments and artwork and will be encouraged to explore and challenged to learn, all while making friends and developing self-confidence.

Pre-Kindergarten 1 & 2 (Pre K)

This is one of the most enjoyable and fun filled times in a young child’s life, and we approach this learning with activities that will help support the children as they begin to transition into a kindergarten classroom in a few short months. We make the transition smoother by helping children become familiar with a more structured learning environment. Our play-based learning experiences are designed to give kids the skills they need to become confident kindergarteners. When you walk into one of our Pre-K classrooms, you’ll see artwork and writing displayed around the room. You’ll also see pictures on the walls that reflect the families in our community. Your child will also deepen their knowledge in language, math, science, and social skills. Your child will build on skills they learned in preschool, deepening their knowledge and ability to work through problems.

Before and After School

We take pride in offering your child a safe, enriching, and reliable care for your school-aged while you’re at work, with safe transportation from the district busses which pick up and drop off at the main entrance of our building to your child’s school in the Hamburg Area School District, and back to our center. We provide an engaging environment where children can spend time with friends while developing a sense of who they are and what they can do. We are always open to new ideas that children direct such as topics about STEM, farm life, sports or what they talked about in school that day. We provide optional homework help, and plenty of playtime indoors and outdoors, your child will start and end the day with a whole lot of fun! Additionally, we offer exciting activities, hands-on exploration, and a quiet, comfortable place for your child to do their homework and distance learning. Our centers work with your school calendar to offer fun-filled programs during school breaks and out-of-school days, too. During the summertime children not enrolled in Hamburg Area School district are welcome to enroll for the summer program.
